Yes, if you love nothing better than settling down with a 3D game from Betsoft, you're going to get your wish here. The reels are set into two stone columns - from a castle, we think. A banner is strung across the top bearing the title. Most of the controls are underneath the reels, with the controls themselves each set into cut tree trunks. It all fits the theme nicely.

The game has five reels, adopting the familiar three-icon format on each one. The game has a busy screen, but it doesn't include any progressive jackpots.

The game does have a wild, but it's an unusual one. The green dragon must appear in the top spot on the middle reel to unlock Fire Starter. The whole reel goes wild, replacing most other symbols except for the special ones. These are the crazy goblins, the knight, the treasure, the fire starter icon, and the greedy goblins. Yes, there is a lot involved in this game.

And still we're not done. Betsoft also found room for a bonus called Save the Princess. A close-up of the knight must appear in three spots on the same active line to unlock this one. You get to fight the dragon in this round, with the outcome determining how much you'll get in credits.

It's a shame, but this game contains so much entertainment we almost forgot about the potential to receive prizes. It's great to play in demo mode too.

Our rating is high for Once Upon a Time

We couldn't think of a reason to rate this any lower than 10/10. We'd prefer to see the RTP and perhaps a progressive jackpot, but even that's not enough to get rid of the top score.

The game offers a 500x credit prize if you find the princess in every position on a line you bet money on. That looks like the best prize, but there are others that are reasonably good too.
